I sent my Mother a bouquet online via Marks & Spencer's website. This arrangement was sent to my Mother for the Australian Mothers Day.
My Mother was very embarrassed to have to tell me the roses were old and dropping petals on arrival. It was a very uncomfortable experience instead of a happy one.

Useless company, continually let you down when it comes to delivery. I paid for a nominated delivery date but my order has been delayed twice so far! I have no idea when it will arrive because they keep changing their mind and e-mailing me to say it has been delayed. It was 12 years ago when I began to shop at M&S as I changed wardrobe from eccentric to classy. And I then discovered I could purchase all sorts of elegant things including food from the then reputable retailer. Fast forward to 3 years ago when I decided to buy undergarments, trousers and shirts and visited the local M&S. Fundraising is tough. I know many people; counting myself are also working out for an event at the same time as fundraising. With fundraising smallest amount set far above the ground for numerous charities, the job itself can appear quite overpowering. I have risen more than $15,000 over four time of year for group in Training. Additionally, I have been unpaid assistant for limitless school fundraising dealings. I worked firm and educated a few things all along the way. I have gathered a resourceful and amusing list of fundraising thoughts. You are in the bag to discover one that will build your fundraising attempt a victory! People Must be acquainted with Donation Letters- Mail out letters using snail mail. A lot of fundraising e-mails are missing amongst the trash; ensure everybody has something substantial. Opt for with something that situate and is not public so that people recognize it is starting you. E-mail- Still exercise e-mail to dig up the word out, do not formulate it your merely way. E-mail is still grand for mementoes and for those you don’t have address for. Internet- Bring into play your Gmail, Yahoo, or no matter what to obtain the word out. Purchase a simple loaf of bread in local food hall. At home found bread to be stale and undated. Contacted customer services, they told me what I wanted to hear but did nothing. Contacted second individual, he was so sorry but was in no position to do anything about it, but would get someone to ring me. No ring back. Have shopped in M@S in Prescot Cables Park on a number of occasions but will not do so again. On each visit it has been impossible to access goods from shelves due to staff gossiping in groups. Passageways are blocked with foodstuff waiting to be stacked and customers have to reach over to try and get their purchases. Staff are aware they are making life difficult but neither move or stop their conversations. They are so mannered. There are plenty of staff about but they just seem to please… Read full review..

Every time i go into the store in birmingham city centre there is NOT ENOUGH STAFF in the food hall. there is one person on the till,one on the express queue and the self serve. i waited 20mins to be served as the queue for the self serve was ridiculous.GET SOME MORE STAFF. the staff looked overworked and stressed and considering this was at dinnertime you would think enough staff would be put on the other tills!!!… Read full review..

Having seen a product I wanted to buy, I was unsure of which size to go for so I rang two local stores to check availability- in all this took over 20 minutes at my expense, whilst I waited presumably for an assistant in that department to realise they should be on the shop floor! Once upon a time Marks and Spencer represented the high ground of high quality service, with a returns policy bar none. How times change! Last week I bought a denim style women's shirt, really liked the style, ok price (£25) seemed good value. How wrong I was. Wore it to work, really uncomfortable, spent the day scratching my arms. Just visited Trafford Centre store. As usual, spent far too much time queuing at cafe and tills. Not enough staff. Those working are apologetic but I resent the fact that the store doesn't mind wasting its customers time. Not sufficient numbers of sizes available, if John Lewis can manage it why not M&S. Don't get me started on the website. Takes ages to navigate and wait for items to come up and, again, insufficient stock available in what are obviously popular sizes. On more than one occasion i have seem items on sale that were at least one day past their sell by date. when mentioned to staff they removed items, but did not seem overly bothered. fresh loose fruit and vegetables do not always look fresh or appetitsing, with some carrots and parsnips wrinkled and spotty. self service tills are often broken and dirty. I find most of the assistants at M&S rude anyway (Primark are so much better). I purchased a few items from M&S and used their self service till. The till was faulty and wouldn't print out my receipt (there was no sign saying it was faulty). I needed a receipt of course. I was measured for a bra fitting two months ago. Brought 2 bras, one the hook came undone and the second the sewing came away. Went back, measured again, given replacements, same thing happened, different person, said that she had had several complaints about the first person who measured me. Went away feeling quite happy. Within a week, new bras, hook broke on one and the sewing broke on the other!!! Spoke to the manager, she agreed to measure me herself, apologised and offered me a free cup

Would like change my review to 5 stars. After sending a complaint via customer support email I got a very quick response and a new plant delivered in a couple of days. Although my mother didn't get her plant on Mother's day she did get something a few days later and they refunded my payments. So all in all not ideal but M&S handled it the best way they could.
